with such an endeavor. Here are some great tips that will aid you as you move forward.

Start by repainting the walls your favorite color. Quite simple, the walls in your bedroom play a huge factor in determining your mood. If you don't like the color of your walls, your mood will suffer, and ultimately your health. You spend so much time in the bedroom that it is vital that it have aesthetic appeal to help your mood.

Next, re-upholster your old furniture. That's right–instead of going out and purchasing new, expensive furniture, simply redesign your current furniture. You can either do this by using unique fabrics
or by repainting them. No matter how you accomplish the task, your furniture is a vital part of your room. Even if your walls are the perfect color, without good furniture to complement them, your bedroom will never reach its' full potential.

Put some candles around the bedroom to give it an elegant look. Candles give a sense of tranquility, very important for your bedroom. Also, another nice touch is to place some artwork on the walls. Again, this does not have to be expensive…you can find nice inexpensive artwork very easily. Another great idea, if you yourself are adept at art, is to put your own work on the walls and turn your room into your own personal art gallery.

Search second hand stores, garage sales, etc for great bargains to place in your room. You can find items such as lamps, antique mirrors, and other bedroom items at very affordable prices. When redesigning your room, don't go to a new furniture store and pay a fortune to get it done. It can be done much more affordably than you think.

Decide on a theme for your bedroom, and match it to whatever our interests may be. For instance, if you are into golf, you may place golf pictures or posters around your room. You may have a golf bedspread, curtains etc. Be creative! The only limitations on your bedroom are in your own brain.

No matter what you decide to do, make sure that the bedroom fits your personality. Let your imagination go! Believe it or not, many times your mood is dependent on the inside of your house, and your bedroom in particular. You spend so much time in there that your mood can often reflect how you feel about your home. If you design your bedroom to match your interests, you will quickly find your sprits, and ultimately your health improving as a result.

These are just a few simple yet very effective ideas at
giving your

bedroom interior the design
you want. Don't be limited to these tips,
however. Just let your imagination go and see what you can come up with!

Bedroom Interior Design-achieve The Look You Want Now

Your Bedroom interior design is crucial because the bedroom is the inner sanctum sanctorum of any house. A bedroom is the place you go to relax and just unwind after a long and sometimes stressful day.

Therefore, it is important then that the bedroom is designed to fulfill your needs. Not only does this room need to look good to the eyes but also must be soothing to the soul.

A bedroom design can be a challenging task because not only is the bedroom a very romantic place but in this age where stress takes its toll on many, a good night's sleep is an increasingly rare commodity.

Before you begin tearing down the walls, it makes sense to talk over the design plans with your partner, if you have one. A romantic bedroom should reflect both people's ideals.

Add some personal flavor that touch both of you at the same time. Pictures from a vacation or a picnic or from a romantic getaway can be great. Make sure that the lighting is just right for both of you.

If one of you likes to read late into the night, it may be better to install personal lighting. Soft lighting can create a good mood and some soft rugs can complement it. If you like, you can add an incense burner or potpourri to get you in the mood.

A bedroom is a place for rest and relaxation. The bedroom interior design needs to take that in to account. The beds that you choose should have adequate dimensions to accommodate you easily.
The mattresses should just feel right. A lot of people are increasingly falling prey to sleep disorders, and improper beds are contributing a lot of pain directly and indirectly in their cases.

Make sure that the coverings are just right. Duvets, quilts, comforters and sheets should not be very heavy. They should also feel good to your skin.

Bedrooms are our last refuge; they are where we end up after a long day at work and play. They need to be our own and their designs need to reflect who we are.

Bedroom designs, therefore, require definite planning and a lot of thought. A bedroom interior design needs input from the bedroom occupants and a lot of creativity, so get yourself a good designer and rest assured that every dime is well spent in the long run.

The bottom line: whether you redo your bedroom interior design yourself or hire someone, make sure that the overall look and theme match you and your partners personalities. Again, it cannot be emphasized enough-there are few rooms in the home as important as the bedroom. If you like your bedroom interior design, it will go a long way to enabling you to live a happy and stress free life.

Bedroom Interior Design Basics For The Beginner

People are often confused with the concepts of bedroom interior design and bedroom interior decoration. Not a few believe that these concepts rae one and the same, although in reality, they are two different things - although they may both pertain to changing the look of a bedroom.

In order to better comprehend what each term refers to, we will first examine the elements that play a part in bedroom interior design and how it is related to interior decoration.

More Than Just A Sleeping Area

Times have changed and so have bedroom's purposes. Due to technology and changes in lifestyles, a bedroom often doubles up as a home office or an exercise area. Sometimes a homeowner may even opt to have a settee in one corner of the bedroom where he or she can have tea with a friend or a partner.

In any case, the bedroom interior design will largely depend on what the owner intends to use the space for. The designer may have to do some research on the homeowner's hobbies and activities or whatever goals he has for the outcome of the bedroom.

This is the reason why if the room owner intends to hire a professional to do the bedroom interior design, it is important for them to spend time to discuss their thoughts so that the result would be exactly what the client wants.

Planning the Bedroom Interior Design

Many designers consider this step to be more difficult the the actual work itself. When planning a design for the bedroom, a lot of designers take advantage of user-friendly modeling programs to help them come up with graphic representations of their ideas.

Alternatively, concept sketches could still be used, for as long as they serve the purpose of concretizing the ideas that have been discussed. During this stage, the furniture that will serve well, depending on the planned functions of the bedroom, are selected.

In addition, the color scheme and the window treatments to be used for this particular bedroom interior design are carefully chosen and put together. Finally, the accessories and other decor such as lamps, vases, or paintings are added to the plan.

This means that apart from the bedroom's interior decor, bedroom interior design is also concerned with the room's framework, use of space, and all the furniture needed to serve the intended function of the room.

How It All Comes Together

Working on a bedroom interior design may not be as easy as it's made out to be. In some ways, the project entails recruiting the help of an engineer or sometimes a contractor to bring the concept to fruition.

Unlike a simple paint job or furniture rearrangement, bedroom interior design involves ensuring that all the changes to be made conform to a safe and functional design, no matter how minor the changes may be. In this sense, the interior designer also acts as a "project manager" of sorts.

In summation, while the interior decoration of a bedroom involves altering the space's looks, including wall hangings, carpeting, or paint, bedroom interior design is known to be more comprehensive, as it includes the functional use of space and furniture.

Finally, bedroom interior design should also incorporate the essential elements of aesthetic design. After all, a bedroom that fulfills its occupant's goals in terms of functionality must also serve as his or her haven - and to be one, it must be pleasing to the eyes.

Bedroom Furniture That Will Stand the Test of Time

Bedroom furniture is a big purchase for most people. Take time to find just the right bedroom furniture for your needs and your budget.

Article:

The first furniture set my husband and I looked to buy when we were getting married was nice bedroom furniture. We decided that since our bedroom was a place where we would spend a lot of time, considering people sleep about a third of their lives away, we wanted comfortable and stylish bedroom furniture which would last us a long time. Thinking that this was going to be a large purchase, we planned to look around a lot and consider all of our options before we would make the purchase. We looked at antique furniture, discount furniture, traditional furniture stores, and American made North Carolina furniture as well.

In our quest for just the right bedroom furniture set, we considered whether we wanted to go with a solid wood or a more modern lacquer or painted look. For our needs, we decided on hardwood, specifically something made of cherry wood, and began our search looking for just the right bedroom furniture set.

The first consideration we had while selecting our bedroom furniture set was the quality of its manufacture. We were looking for a bedroom set to last our lifetime and not something made of particle board which we would have to replace in a few years. While composite wood products are fine for some things, we wanted well-made, hardwood furniture which would last for generations. For this quality, we were prepared to shell out a decent chunk of money if we had to.

Like many people do, we went to our local North Carolina furniture stores and walked around, felt the furniture with our hands, and sat on the beds and chairs. We were trying to get an idea of which pieces we would want and which would fit into our rather small apartment bedroom. Our first choice was a large cherry wood four poster bed, large dresser and two night stands. We took some measurements and went back to our apartment to check to see if everything would fit. Alas, our potential bedroom furniture set was perfect for us; however, it was not quite so perfect for our small space.

After this short set-back, we went out again looking for some similar bedroom furniture which would fit in our apartment-sized bedroom, but would be something we could add more pieces to as we bought our first home in a couple years. We found a similar set, by the same furniture manufacturer, and wrote down the model numbers and decided to think over our purchase after we returned home.

At home, we went on the Internet to see what we could find about the specific manufacturer we had selected. Online we found that this maker had a great reputation and people who owned their furniture were happy that they had purchased it. This made us feel like we were making a good decision.

While reading about our potential bedroom set online, we stumbled upon a website which sold the same set, and it was selling for a nice discount in price. Even with shipping, we were able to buy our bedroom furniture from this online discount furniture store for less than the local store.

When you are in the market for your own furniture you will want to take into consideration your budget, the style you like, and what options you have for making the best purchase. The easiest way to do this is to touch and feel the furniture locally, and then look online to see what's out there and how much the costs are. You might be pleasantly surprised, as we were, and get a great deal!

Beautiful Bedroom Sets - Yes, They Can Be Very Affordable!

Whoever said that bedroom sets had to cost a great deal of money to be comfortable or attractive must have profited from a well known name brand furniture designer looking to make a buck. You can find affordable bedroom sets all over the place, many of which are perfect imitations of some of the more expensive designs, without having to look hard. Where are the best places to start looking for inexpensive furnishings for your bedroom?

Decorating your home with discount bedroom sets is made simple by online stores that wrap the entire set into one package deal. While many high end furniture stores will sell items by the piece and never offer a discount for bulk purchases, others will knock hundreds of dollars off the price when you buy the entire set. Many of these will let you add pieces to the discount bedroom sets for a minimal cost as well, such as a second night table, an armoire, or chest of drawers. Online stores have the advantage of saving money on shipping when ordering multiple items and some will pass that savings on to you.

Another place to look is the factory. If you call a manufacturer, you may find that they have affordable bedroom sets sitting in a warehouse that no one has ordered, that were returned, or that have small mistakes, like being short a nail or having a small scratch in the wood. Choosing among these can save you hundreds of dollars on a brand new furniture set, even on the more expensive name brand products.

Another way to save money on your bedroom is to look at something smaller. For example, while you might want a king sized bed, queen bedroom sets and their accessories cost a lot less. This means that you can save not only on the immediate purchase but also on the additional décor later. When it comes to kids bedroom sets, you don't even need anything decorative. Your children are going to grow and change so quickly that you shouldn't spend a fortune on the bedroom suite that they pick out. Instead, choose something that will be functional for years to come, and let your son or daughter pick out the twin sized comforter that will decorate the kids bedroom set that you purchase.

One final way to find affordable bedroom sets is by visiting furniture stores when the latest styles arrive. During this time, it is necessary to make room for the newest fashions that have arrived and discard last year's models, much like liquidation at a car lot or a seasonal sale at a department store. Therefore, you can find affordable bedroom sets among last season's "cast offs" that are marked down to make way for the new models.

Antique White Bedroom Furniture: Enhance The Elegance Of Your Bedroom

There are several extremely popular types of antique bedroom furniture at any given time, usually in line with the fashions of the day, but one type seems to remain as popular as it has ever been amongst consumers. Antique white bedroom furniture has a universal appeal because it is different and can brighten up what would otherwise be a dark and dingy bedroom.

Other bedroom furniture comes in a rainbow of browns. Everything from mahogany to walnut to oak usually makes it into a bedroom but can make it seem smaller somehow, not to mention overbearing, and antique white furniture marks a distinct difference. It is undoubtedly unique and thus is definitely more difficult to find. Its popularity does not help with this problem but could potentially raise its value even further.

Antique white bedroom furniture does not have one particular and definitive style. It can be found in a wide range of designs so that you can personally select one that matches your tastes and home décor. The fact that it is different in colour means that it gives a room a better, lighter quality than most bedroom furniture and adds an elegance to every room that is hard to create from scratch.

Antique white bedroom furniture combines European and American styles. This combination makes it completely different to anything that has ever been created before, although it has been subjected to a few attempted recreations since. It has an innate sense of style that can fit in with most individual tastes so very few people actually dislike it. Most antique furnitures are an acquired taste but antique white furniture is not too hard to get used to! For more info see http://www.antiquefurniturersource.com/Antique_Furniture_Hardware/Replacement_Hardware_For_Antique_Furniture.php on Replacement Hardware For Antique Furniture.

Some antique styles can prove to be very expensive but antique white bedroom furniture is in fact more affordable than the majority of its competition. There is the opportunity to pick up some real bargains. Although there are some very expensive antique white furniture sets around, at least this gives you the choice. You can choose the set that best fits your budget so you do not have to break the bank to enhance your home with antique white bedroom furniture and neither do you have to compromise on quality. Whatever combination you are looking for, you can get it!

Antique white bedroom furniture is neutral in colour, shape and designs and so will fit into any bedroom and quickly become a household asset. It will blend in well with existing décor and can be used to create a warmth and safe environment for children as well as adults. In short, antique white bedroom furniture is about as perfect as it gets so enjoy it!

Wicker Bedroom Furniture Trends

There is a new generation of wicker furniture and its a far cry from that white painted chair that lives for grandmas garden parties. Wickers rebirth into contemporary home furnishings is just now starting to gain the popularity it deserves. Wicker furniture specifically has been getting the most attention.

Wicker furniture, in case you have forgotten, is made out of thin, flexible twigs, branches or reeds. The branches are woven among others in a pattern that is both strong and aesthetically appealing in the same sort of fashion as old, woven picnic baskets. While this natural looking furniture would seem to be more at home on a patio or porch, more and more pieces are being appropriately painted and upholstered in such a way that they are perfect for a master bedroom.

Wicker furniture is perfect for setting an intimate, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Many designer pieces are being painted in warm, natural colors like chocolate and cherry wood. Upholstery choices are endless when the base color is warm and on the neutral side. Simply choose something that matches your current decor and your bedroom furniture will fit in perfectly.

The clean lines and ornate but subtle weaves of wicker bedroom furniture make it a great pick. Indeed, choosing wicker for your bedroom will give the whole room a unique and appealing look. Wicker bedroom furniture is a great way to shake up the normal, conventional, dime-a-dozen look of your bedroom and catapult it into a designers dream space.

If you are interested in taking the next step and pricing some wicker bedroom furniture, you will be pleased to know that because of the growing demand and relatively inexpensive material, wicker bedroom furniture is actually quite cost-effective. As with all furniture, the design will cost more than anything else, so if you are looking to buy something endorsed or created by a well-known designer, be prepared to pay for it. A designer wicker loveseat that is attractively upholstered will cost you around $400 and about half of that for a matching chair.

You may have some reservations about buying wicker furniture because you are not sure how durable wicker is. While wicker can rot and mildew, these are problems only associated with outdoor use. Wicker bedroom furniture is as durable as anything else you have in your home, though it must be treated with a little more care than solid wood pieces.

While all wicker bedroom furniture has a protective coating and usually a coat or two of paint as well, its wise to keep it out of direct sunlight to protect it from drying out and becoming brittle. Pets, both dogs and cats, believe it or not, sometimes have an affinity for chewing on this type of furniture more than other type, presumably because its much easier to chew through than solid wood.

That being said, you would be wise to just keep an eye on things the first few days after you have brought a piece of wicker furniture home. Indeed, so long as you treat this beautiful type of furniture with common sense and care, it will enhance your bedrooms appearance for years to come.

Using Color To Change The Size Of Your Bedroom

Did you ever wish your bedroom was bigger or smaller? Well if you don't have enough money to change the actual size of the room, then you can use paint to make the bedroom seem bigger or smaller.

Paint is well known as one of the least expensive and easiest ways to change the look of any room, but if you pick your colors carefully you can give the space a new feel as well as a new look. Certain colors can make your bedroom walls feel closer or farther away.

If you have a small bedroom and you want it to feel more spacious, then consider painting the walls a receding color. These are the blue - green - purpleish colors and any combination thereof. Look at a basic color wheel - you'll see that those colors are all next to each other on one side. You probably want to avoid the darkest of these combinations, however as painting a room in very dark tones can make it look smaller overall.

If you want to make a large bedroom feel more cozy, then paint the walls advancing colors. These are the colors on the other side of the color wheel - the reds, oranges and yellow. Bright warm colors will close in the space and make the room seem cheerful and cozy. Also if you have a large cavernous room with a very high ceiling, consider painting the ceiling a medium or dark color which will make bring the appearance back down to a normal height.

When painting your bedroom, make sure you buy enough paint to do the job! Consider how many coats you will need. A dark color may need several coats. IF you are trying to paint a light color over a dark, you may need to use some primer and also a couple of coats. 1 gallon of paint can do about 400 square feet so keep this in mind. To measure your room, go around the edge of all the walls with a measuring tape and record the total width. Measure the height from floor to ceiling and multiply by total width to get the square footage. Measure all the doors and window opening and subtract this from the total square footage (or not, it's always a good idea to have a little extra paint then not enough!).

Don't forget to protect your wood moldings with painters tape, remove all the covers from the electrical outlets and plugs and cover the floor and furniture with drop cloths!
